His journey from a young professional in the freight industry to leading a multi-industry business group stands as a testament to his commitment, foresight, and entrepreneurial spirit.
A Legacy of Expertise
Abbas began his career in 1980 with Khawaja Air Cargo, where he laid the foundation of his freight expertise. Over the years, he worked with multinational giants such as ITC Air Cargo and Fritz (now UPS Pakistan), gaining global exposure and forming strong alliances with freight agents and traders worldwide.
Later, as part of Universal Freight Systems, he headed high-performing teams and played a pivotal role in driving the company to achieve double-digit growth.
Founding Pentagon Group
In 1995, Abbas established the Pentagon Group of Companies, starting with Pentagon Trading House. His deep knowledge of trade and logistics enabled the group to expand into:
- Pentagon Freight Systems (PFS) – a PIFFA-registered freight forwarding company with a global agent network.
- PTH Homes – an e-commerce brand offering premium home textiles, earning excellent customer reviews across Pakistan.
Today, under his guidance, Pentagon has evolved into a multi-industry group with a reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation.
